Scholarships
Student scholarships are available to help PhD students attend the conference. Scholarships will cover the conference registration fee and two nights accommodation. Presentation of a talk or poster is a pre-requisite of gaining a scholarship. To apply please email: admin@cpact.com
Call for Papers
Abstracts (maximum 500 words) should be preferably submitted on-line (using link below) or e-mailed to admin@cpact.com by 14th March 2025. If sending via email, please indicate if an oral or poster presentation is preferred and submit using the following format:
Title – Arial 14 pt, bold, centered, 1.5 line space
Author details – Authors (please underline the presenting author), Organisation, Country, Email address
Main text – Arial 12 pt, fully justified, 1.5 line space
Themes
Papers may be submitted for oral or poster presentation on any topic relevant to process analysis and control, in-process measurements, data analysis and process modelling.
Themes selected for APACT 2025 are:
- Advances in process analysis technologies
- New methodologies in data analysis and modelling
- Advances in process engineering modelling and control
- Digitalization in process manufacturing
- Sustainability and the circular economy
- PAT in the context of regulated industries
Some example topics for each theme are given below, although the list is not exhaustive.

- Optimization of sampling protocols
- In-line/on-line/non-invasive analysis techniques
- Imaging and image analysis
- Miniaturisation of analysers/sensors and sensor networks
- Process analytical aspects of robotics
- Real-time monitoring of bioprocesses
New methodologies in data analysis and modelling - Example topics include:
- Advances in process statistics and chemometrics
- Calibration-free methods
- Calibration model maintenance and transfer
- Data mining
Advances in process engineering modelling and control - Example topics include:
- Digital twins
- Process performance monitoring
- Predictive and hybrid modelling
- Process control and optimization
- Soft Sensors
Digitalization in process manufacturing - Example topics include:
- AI and cyber security
- Data systems and standards for assured manufacturing quality
- Impact of AI/ML on process analysis and control
- Integration of analytics for autonomous process control
- On-line process diagnostics
Sustainability and the circular economy - Example topics include:
- Analytical challenges in alternative fuels
- Advances in measurements supporting net zero
- Role of process measurements and process modelling in waste reduction and re-use
- Whole systems modelling - from supply chains to customer
PAT in the context of regulated industries - Example topics include:
- Engagement with regulators on the role of PAT in manufacturing
- Opportunities for advanced control/AI in regulated industries
- Example case studies
